In order to keep sustainable development of geothermal resources, Shandong Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources recently conducted geothermal recharging tests for the first time.

The tests were respectively carried out in Decheng District of Dezhou City and Huancui District of Weihai City. In Dezhou City, the tests primarily adopted a method of back pressure and recharge in the same layer of double wells to recharge the layered pore geothermal reserviors; in Weihai City, the Baoquantang geothermal field took a methed of automatically outflowing and pressing in different layers and another method of automatically outflowing and pressing in the same layer to recharge the belted fissure geothermal reserviors. The tests have obtained related reference data.
